Ron "Sweet Dreams" Nakash first began training when his father enrolled him in a Thai boxing program at ten year's old. He eventually became accomplished in a variety of martial arts including kick boxing, Muay-Thai and karate.

From 1997-2000 Nakash was the lead instructor at the IDF's Krav Maga school. There he not only trained elite units but also Krav Maga instructors who he certified. From 2002-2007 he headed the Krav Maga division of the security center of the Israeli court system where he taught and trained bodyguards in 24 hour personal security. In 2007 he became the Chief Commander of the Krav Maga Instructional division of the IDF, making him the "highest ranking professional authority in Krav Maga."

In 2006, the 5'10" roughly 200 lb Nakash began boxing professionally, fighting in the cruiserweight division. His style has been described as "explosive" and "in your face," and he is known for relentlessly moving forward at his opponents.

According to a recent article in the Philadelphia Weekly, " If you happen to be the target of his punches, the odds are radically, desperately, stacked against you."

Nakash has a large Star of David tattoo on his back and wears another on the front of his trunks. He keeps kosher and dines with his family on the Sabbath.

To date he has a record of 16 wins and 0 losses with 12 knockouts. He has appeared frequently at Philadelphia's famed Blue Horizon boxing venue.

Interesting Facts
  • Nakash's "biggest" fans in Philadelphia play hookie from Friday night synagogue services to watch him fight.
  • Ultimate Fighting does not interest Nakash because he prefers to "stand up and hit" rather than grapple and hug.
  • Nakash has two biblical inscriptions tattooed on his body, "Hear, O Israel, the Lord, our God, is one" on his neck, and across his arms is inscribed "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall not fear evil, for You are with me."
